I Will Never Return To PDP – Obasanjo

Nigerian's former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has vowed never to return to the leading opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was what he told the journalists present after he met with the National Caretaker Chairman of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, behind closed-doors.

The meeting was held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, which lasted for one hour. The former president said, 

“I will never return to the PDP, just like a dog would never return to its vomit.”

The PDP national chairman had thought it was going to be easy to bring in back, but it's better for him to be neutral as a statesman, rather than continue to play partisan politics.
