FLASH | Chief Justice Of Nigeria Appears Before Senate For Confirmation

Senate has commenced a confirmation hearing for Walter Onnoghen as chief justice of Nigeria. The senate president, Bukola Saraki, is presiding over the committee of the whole.

Onnoghen has been acting CJN since November 10, 2016 when his predecessor retired.

If he's confirmed, Onnoghen who is from Cross River state, will be the only CJN from the southern part of the county in the last 30 years‎.
