ASP Oyeyemi assured the deceased’s family that all the perpetrators would be brought to book.
He said, “The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the landlady and the son should be arrested. Through that, the son will be able to identify the soldiers.”
Oyekan’s case is coming two weeks after some soldiers of the 174 Battalion allegedly brutalised a woman, Ruth Orji.
I think Nigerian soldiers really need some urgent reorientation, for them to appreciate the fact that the world has since moved away from such brutal acts.
